A. Mark Zeffiro
President & CEO, Horizon Global
Mr. Zeffiro was appointed as Co-Chair of our Board on June 29, 2015, and was named our president and chief executive officer on June 30, 2015. Mr. Zeffiro has served as president and a director of Horizon since our incorporation on January 14, 2015. Mr. Zeffiro previously served as group president of Cequent, which was comprised of TriMas' Cequent Americas and Cequent APEA reporting segments specializing in towing, trailering and cargo management products (“Cequent”), beginning in January 2015. Mr. Zeffiro served as chief financial officer of TriMas from June 2008 to January 2015 and executive vice president of TriMas from May 2013 until January 2015.

Prior to joining TriMas, Mr. Zeffiro held various financial management and business positions with General Electric Company (“GE”), a diversified technology and financial services company, and Black and Decker Corporation (“Black & Decker”), a global manufacturer of quality power tools and accessories, hardware, home improvement products and fastening systems. From 2004 through 2008, during Mr. Zeffiro’s four year tenure with Black & Decker, he was vice president of finance for the global consumer product group and Latin America. In addition, Mr. Zeffiro was directly responsible for and functioned as general manager of Black & Decker’s factory store business unit. From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Zeffiro was chief financial officer of First Quality Enterprises, a private company producing consumer products for the health care market. From 1988 through 2002, he held a series of operational and financial leadership positions with GE, the most recent of which was chief financial officer of its medical imaging manufacturing division. In April 2015, Mr. Zeffiro was appointed to the board of directors of Atkore International Group, Inc., a manufacturer of electrical raceway solutions.

Mr. Zeffiro also serves on the board of directors of the Detroit Institute of Arts, where he chairs the finance committee, and the board of trustees of Walsh College, where he sits on the academic committee. Mr. Zeffiro's position as president and chief executive officer of Horizon provides him the ability to offer the Board firsthand insight into the operations and strategic vision of the Company. Mr. Zeffiro has extensive knowledge and subject matter expertise in strategic planning, business management, mergers and acquisitions and financial accounting.

John Aleva
President, Americas, Horizon Global
John Aleva was appointed president of Cequent Americas in March 2015. Prior to that he was President, Cequent Consumer Products, a position he reached in October 2005. He joined the company as director of integration in 2003, prior to which he worked in the Detroit office of Deloitte Consulting LLP. Mr. Aleva was a manager in the automotive consulting practice and led numerous projects in product development, operations planning, manufacturing and supply chain strategies projects with multiple automotive OEM manufacturers. Prior to January 2000, Mr. Aleva held various positions of increased responsibility within an automotive OEM manufacturer and a Tier 1 supplier.

Mr. Aleva holds a Master of Business Administration with emphasis in Finance, Marketing and International Business and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering, both degrees from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
John Aleva
Paul Caruso
Regional Vice President and Managing Director- Europe, Africa and Latin America, Horizon Global
Paul Caruso was recently promoted to Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Horizon Global. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President, International and Corporate Development where he managed Cequent’s Latin American business and Corporate Development activities for Cequent/Horizon. His primary duties were general management, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Caruso joined TriMas Corporation in 2002, as leader of the product management function at Cequent. He has over 30 years of experience in a variety of roles in industrial and automotive companies, including Federal Mogul, Ford Motor Company, Standard Products Co and Oildyne. He also has extensive experience in start-up companies having worked in three different start-ups over the course of his career.

Mr. Caruso earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Michigan State University.

Jason Desentz
Chief Human Resources Officer, Horizon Global
Jason Desentz was named Chief Human Resource Officer at Horizon Global in January 2016. In this role, Jason will provide strategic business partnership and HR support for Horizon Global across the globe.

Mr. Desentz has over 18 years of experience in a variety of HR-focused and manufacturing/operations roles with well-known companies including Chrysler, Jackson National Life, Henry Ford Health Systems and Ford Motor Company. Most recently, Mr. Desentz worked as the Director of Human Resources at Cequent Americas and was part of the leadership team, reporting to the President. Prior to joining Horizon Global, he spent the majority of his early career with Daimler Chrysler (now FCA) building a solid foundation for his career as a strategic HR leader and business partner. He worked in a variety of HR disciplines, focused on employee engagement, development and support.

Jason earned a master’s degree in business from Central Michigan University and a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University.

Paddy Enright
Division Finance Officer, Asia Pacific, Horizon Global
Paddy Enright is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of experience in accounting, financial leadership, mergers and acquisitions, and management of international operations. Prior to joining Horizon Global Corporation, he held a variety of senior finance management positions predominantly in manufacturing companies with international, multi-plant operations, including: Pact Group, Flint Group, and Carter Holt Harvey.

He’s known for his expertise and strengths in leading multi-million dollar projects, supervising financial managers and staff, financial budgeting and reporting, collaborating with international executives on global priorities and outlined strategic goals.

Mr. Enright manages all the financial operations for Asia Pacific. He is a certified Chartered Accountant (CA) and member of Charted Accountants Australia and New Zealand having gained his professional qualification at Christchurch College of Education in Christchurch, New Zealand. He also attended Xavier College in Christchurch, Australia. Mr. Enright serves both as a member of the CEC and ELT organization at Horizon Global Corporation.

Mike Finos
Vice President, Operations, Horizon Global
Mike Finos, VP Operations joined Cequent in May 2003, after 8 years in a similar position with Hidden Hitch. Mike has over 30 years of Operations leadership experience across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Information Technology disciplines. His achievements include multiple business consolidations, facility relocations, and system integrations supporting growth and strategic initiatives. Mike has several years of experience developing and managing teams in Mexico and Asia, ensuring robust supply chains in place to support all customer channels. His metrics-driven management style embraces Continuous Improvement and Lean Management principles.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems degree, and also holds a Master of Science in Management degree from Walsh College.

Jay Goldbaum
Legal Director, Chief Compliance Officer, & Corporate Secretary, Horizon Global
Prior to joining Horizon Global, Mr. Goldbaum had been associate general counsel–commercial law with TriMas since January 2014. Mr. Goldbaum joined TriMas in January 2012 and held the position of legal counsel. Before joining TriMas, Mr. Goldbaum was an associate in the corporate and litigation practice groups at the law firm of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, P.C. from September 2007 to August 2011. Mr. Goldbaum also held the position of chief operating officer at Teal Media, an internet design and communications company from August 2011 to October 2011.

Mr. Goldbaum graduated from Michigan State University College of Law and earned a B.S. in Finance from Miami University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jason Kieseker
President, Asia Pacific, Horizon Global
Jason Kieseker was recently promoted to Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Horizon Global. He previously was Regional General Manager with responsibility for Europe and Africa. Mr. Kieseker began his career in Australia at Hayman Reese, a Cequent company, in 2001. He was subsequently promoted to General Manager of the Thailand business and the Sales and Marketing Director for Cequent APEA.

Mr. Kieseker graduated from the University of Queensland with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ruthanne Largent
Chief Information Officer, Horizon Global
Ruthanne Largent is the Chief Information Officer for Horizon Global, effective July, 2016. She leads all Information Technology (IT) activities and will integrate the business via applications and infrastructure, in support of the corporate goals and aligned with compliance requirements. Prior to joining Horizon Global, Mrs. Largent was the Assistant Vice President, I.T., for MGM Grand Casino/Hotel Detroit where she was responsible for the operation of the previous MGM Grand Casino while building the current property, moving the business and staff to the current property, closing the previous property and then operating the current expanded business.

Ms. Largent has more than 30 years’ experience leading operational teams, directing and implementing complex, large-scale projects, managing budgets, defining and improving business processes and procedures, and establishing operational standards. Her previous positions include: Director, Operations and Network Services for a Major Retailer, Director of I.T. for a Manufacturing Development Software company, and 17 years of experience at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where her various roles included: Global Network Services Manager (Delphi), Senior Integrator (GM), Xerox Network Operations Manager, and Global Delivery Officer.

Ms. Largent has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, and is a current board member of Society of Information Management (SIM) and a member of Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT).
Ruthanne Largent
David Rice
Chief Financial Officer, Horizon Global
Mr. Rice serves as chief financial officer of Horizon Global. Mr. Rice had been division finance officer of TriMas’ subsidiary Cequent Performance Products, Inc. since 2011. Prior to his appointment in 2011, Mr. Rice held various positions within TriMas, including group controller from 2005 to 2009 and vice president of corporate audit from 2009 to 2011.

Prior to joining TriMas in 2005, he held additional divisional controller positions of increasing responsibilities at GKN Sinter Metals and Mueller Industries, Inc., as well as managing international operations finance at The Woodbridge Group. Mr. Rice began his career in public accounting with Coopers and Lybrand and brings over 30 years of accounting and financial leadership, mergers and acquisitions and management of international operations.

David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from the Wayne State University, an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant.

James Tindell
Division Finance Officer, Americas, Horizon Global
Prior to joining TriMas in 2014, Mr. Tindell held a variety of commercial finance management roles with Newell Rubbermaid, Black & Decker and Principal Financial Group. Mr. Tindell brings to us over 15 years of experience with large, multi-national companies including completion of a management development program and internship with PPG Industries, Inc.

Mr. Tindell earned a B.S. degree in finance and accounting from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

Gideon Wijgergangs
Divisional Financial Officer, Europe & Africa, Horizon Global
Mr. Wijgergangs has been appointed as Divisional Finance Officer of Horizon Global Europe and Africa. He will manage all financial operations for the business unit, provide financial projections and accounting services, establish measurements and develop regional reports.

Previously, he was employed as Chief Financial Officer Benelux at Henry Schein Dental where he had day-to-day responsibility for the Benelux finance function, as well as Non-U.S. holding companies, including: group reporting, treasury, tax planning, corporate restructuring, and compliance.

He has served in various Senior Finance positions with U.S.-listed companies, such as: Liberty Global, Ecolab, and Royal Dutch Shell. His experience includes working in private equity environments and post-merger integrations.

Mr. Wijgergangs has an engineering degree from Twente University, a degree from Erasmus University in Valuation, and is a certified management accountant. He was born in the South of the Netherlands, and is now living close to Amsterdam with his family.
